Editorial

Greetings from Surana and Surana, India.

‘IP’ is our forte and ‘Chennai’, India is our Motherland. These two words have given us all of what we are today. Chennai’s success lies in its culture, the importance given for its strong educational roots, simplicity, abundant, skilled, loyal and above all – talented bunch of minds. That’s why we proudly call it – ‘Namma (our) Chennai’. In this edition, YellowBox uncovers the close connection that IP has with Chennai and the growing importance of the subject in the city.

This edition also covers two articles, one on ‘Innovating for Social Causes’ by our fellow patron Venkatesh, and another on ‘Protection of Goods at Border’ by our Guest Patron from a Peruean law firm OMC Abogados & Consultores.

In the spotlight, we bring you some of the interesting facts about India’s first mission to Mars – the successful launch of satellite – Mangalyaan.

For the benefit of our readers, we have added another section – ‘Beyond IP’, to give an update of connected subjects to IP. In this section, we bring to you some thoughts on ‘Privacy in Cyber Space’ by our expert patron Dr. S. Ravichandran.

We hope you continue enjoying the YellowBox experience.

Cheers.
